Health Guarantee
2-Year Health Guarantee
Effective: 07/28/2026
Last updated: 07/28/2026
What the guarantee covers
We guarantee your puppy to be free of life-altering genetic and hereditary conditions for two years from your adoption date.
If a licensed veterinarian diagnoses a life-altering genetic or hereditary condition within that window, and we validate the claim, the guarantee applies.
What it does not cover
The guarantee is specific to diagnosed life-altering genetic conditions. It does not cover common illnesses, parasites, or injuries. It does not cover veterinary expenses, travel costs, or other related expenses you take on.
Pennsylvania law covers more than this during your first 30 days, including illness, parasites, and veterinary bills. Those rights are separate from our guarantee and we describe them further down this page.
What we ask of you
The guarantee stays in force as long as you give your puppy:
-
A clean, safe, and nurturing home
-
A nutritious diet
-
Regular veterinary check-ups and all recommended vaccinations
-
Prompt veterinary care if they become ill
Keep your veterinary records. They are what confirm these conditions were met if you ever file a claim.
How to make a claim
-
Notify us in writing as soon as your veterinarian makes the diagnosis. Email works.
-
Send us a written statement along with the complete report from your licensed veterinarian confirming the diagnosis.
We may ask to have your puppy examined by a veterinarian of our choosing. We pay for that examination, and we will ask within two business days of hearing from you.
Your two options
Once we validate the claim and a licensed veterinarian confirms the condition, you choose:
Option A: A replacement puppy. A puppy of equal value from our next available litter. You cover transportation costs.
Option B: A full refund. A full refund of your puppy's original adoption price.
We pay any refund within 14 days of receiving your veterinarian's certification.
The limits of this guarantee
The guarantee is limited to the terms in the signed agreement. Our responsibility is either a replacement puppy or a refund, as described above. It does not extend to veterinary expenses, travel, or other costs you incur.
Your rights under Pennsylvania law
Pennsylvania law gives dog buyers protections that run alongside this guarantee on a shorter timeline. Our guarantee does not replace or limit them.
If a licensed veterinarian determines within 10 days of purchase that your puppy is clinically ill or has died from a contagious, infectious, or parasitic illness that renders the puppy unfit for purchase, or certifies within 30 days of purchase that your puppy has a congenital or hereditary defect that adversely affects their health, you may:
-
Return your puppy for a full refund of the purchase price, not including sales tax
-
Return your puppy for a replacement of equal value, if one is available
-
Keep your puppy and receive reimbursement for reasonable veterinary costs, up to the purchase price
These windows are short and they start the day you take your puppy home. Take your puppy to a licensed veterinarian promptly after pickup, keep the written certification, and tell us the examining veterinarian's name, address, and phone number within two business days of the examination.
You receive a full written summary of these rights at the time of sale.
THIS DISCLOSURE OF RIGHTS IS A SUMMARY OF PENNSYLVANIA LAW. THE ACTUAL PROVISIONS OF THE LAW ARE IN SECTION 9.3 OF THE UNFAIR TRADE PRACTICES AND CONSUMER PROTECTION LAW.
What you receive at pickup
Your signed 2-Year Genetic Health Guarantee, your puppy's health record, registration paperwork information, and a written summary of your rights under Pennsylvania law.
The signed guarantee is the governing document. This page summarizes it, and you can read the full agreement before you commit to anything.
